A trade-in, much like cash down, reduces your monthly payment. But remember, we’re NOT negotiating monthly payment. Negotiate the purchase price and the trade-in separately. The dealer will gladly talk monthly payment without ever telling you the purchase price or your trade-in value...if you let them.
